Bad Reflection
We can never resist a good ol' slab of rough and raw noise here at Squirrel HQ. So, imagine our delight when the excellent Chain Letters came calling and asked if we'd like to stock a few copies of their debut single. "Send 'em our way, and give us all the info about it", we said. So... they did. And now it's over to them to tell you all about what they do...
Sophia, ex Idaho teen punx Young People With Faces, ran away to LA and joined bass player Johnny Bubblegum, of Toronto legends Tyranna, guitarist Chris and drummer Violet to form the Chain Letters, playing fierce and raw power pop hopped up on the Zeros, Go-Gos, Pointed Sticks, and inspired by the furious DIY energy of the Donnas, Loli & The Chones, and the '90s San Francisco garage scene. Packed with hooks, their debut 7" "Bad Reflection / Boulevard Girls" sounds like Ellie Greenwich writing for '77-era Avengers in a garage in the back of beyond. 300 hand-numbered copies on the band's own Pogo Time label.
