"Grip Of Fear" is a chugging pop nugget, melodic and noisy in roughly equal parts. "Sharks" and "Only Snow" reveal a much darker element to the band's sound, with a heavy Velvet Underground influence in particular on the latter track, featuring screeching viola sitting alongside the chiming guitars and beautiful female vocals. If you want your pop music served up with black clouds on the horizon covering up the sunshine, then this 3 tracker should be just what you're looking for.
