Definitely one of the standout tracks from their forthcoming Dark Days And Nights CD/DVD, with the word "single" written all over it, Down From Here finds Insect Guide at their poppiest with uptempo hooklines and fuzzy guitars, but still with the sonic flick knives concealed inside their noisy outer layers. This release also includes 2 exclusive accompanying tracks—the wonderful Broken which was a strong contender for the album, but now finds a home here, and a great acoustic version of earlier single Dark Days And Nights which strips down the track whilst simulataneously introducing some new instrumentation to take it in a whole new direction.

And just like the previous 2 CD singles by Insect Guide, this is another "vinyl style" release in a black sleeve with the CD itself pressed to look like a 7" single (with actual grooves...but please don't try playing it on a turntable) and also with hand numbered fold out artwork inside. Highly collectable, strictly limited edition, absolutely perfect. With a recent Marc Riley 6 Music session under their belts, a string of UK dates on the horizon, the 2nd album out shortly and a very definite buzz building about this band, these limited CD releases are bound to soon become much sought after... so grab one while you can.
