Longer And Louder: Deluxe Edition CD/DVD
After receiving a number of messages from people regarding The Manhattan Love Suicides debut album and its lack of availability on CD here in the UK/Europe, we decided to bow to pressure and get it out there on this format. We didn't just want to issue the debut album as it currently was however with only the 12 tracks on there. Instead, we firstly re-mastered the whole thing so it now sounds even louder and fuzzier than before (as it is truly supposed to be heard), then we added 11 bonus tracks including all 4 of the tracks that made up last years two 7" a sides and b sides (also fully re-mastered and sounding deafeningly loud) a handful of new recordings unavailable anywhere else, and even the very first thing the band ever recorded—a rough 4 track cassette version of one of the tracks that eventually got re-recorded for the album. 23 tracks in total clocking in at just over 77 minutes in length and one hell of a relentless rollercoaster ride of fuzz and lo-fi noise pop.
But that's not all.....also included in this package is a bonus DVD featuring all of the promo videos the band have shot so far—11 in total. Featuring a healthy dose of blood, guts and gore and certainly not for the faint hearted in places, but a fantastic companion disc for the re-mastered album with the bonus tracks, and a great opportunity to witness the visual side of The Manhattan Love Suicides.
All this comes wrapped up in a digipack with fold out 2 sided information sheet containing some exclusive band pics and information about this release... plus some nice words from Rocker at
Dandelion Radio and Trev from
Odd Box Records.
This is
THE DEFINITIVE version of The Manhattan Love Suicides debut album. With a brand new album set to be released a little later in the year, now is the chance for anyone who missed out first time around to pick up this deluxe edition, or for those of you who already own the debut, it's a chance to get the louder version with all the bonus tracks on there... and of course, the DVD too.
