Another essential slab of fuzzed up noise pop from The Sunday Reeds. This time, however, the fuzz has been turned down (slightly... only slightly) which pushes the vocals up front a little more, and the result is 2 razor sharp slices of blistering tuneage that conjure up thoughts of The Pixies in places, and the ghosts of old Link Wray tracks in others. Recorded and mixed by the band themselves, and then once again mastered by legendary producer Kramer (Galaxie 500, Daniel Johnston, Bongwater) this is a fine release which sits alongside last year's Dark Rainbows CD EP, and the debut album Drowning In History, while simultaneously taking a musical leap forward and pointing the way towards the 2nd album which will be coming later in 2012. With various shows at home on the horizon, and a possible UK tour coming up in a few months from now (fingers crossed) this is the time to check out this superb band if you haven't already done so, or grab a copy of this limited edition single and add it to your Sunday Reeds collection if you're already familiar with what they do.
